

Andy is following an Intermediate package of courses. He is really enjoying the practical element to the OCR Level 2 National in Media and a BTEC in Travel and Tourism. The work he is doing on his ASDAN courses is helping to develop all the skills that he will need when he starts work or progresses to a further course of study.

Becky wants to join the army when she leaves school. She chose courses that she enjoyed as she knew she would do best in subjects she loved. She is happy with her choice of a BTEC in Sport and A Level in Law and Sociology.

It is Nathan’s ambition to be a doctor. He checked with several universities to check what courses he should follow and then chose to study A Levels in Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Becki knows that she wants a career in the fashion industry but as yet, she does not know exactly what. Therefore she chose to study a BTEC in Fashion and Clothing and A Levels in Media Studies and Art so that she can get more idea of what she would like to focus on when she moves on to university.

Genny wants to be a vet. She chose her A level subjects by checking which subjects are preferred for this career - Chemistry, Biology and Maths – but also chose a fourth subject that she particularly enjoyed – PE – to provide a contrast.

Jack has chosen to study ICT, Maths, Physics and Business Studies. He has not yet decided whether he would prefer to study ICT or Maths at university but envisages a career either as an ICT technician or an accountant.

Jenny’s aim is to audition for acting school. She knows how fierce competition can be in this field and so has also made sure she has kept her options open by choosing to study Drama, English Literature, English Language and Art.

Andrew doesn’t yet know what career he wants to follow but knows he doesn’t want a job in an office! His choices of DT, BTEC PE, Business Studies and Media Studies give him plenty of opportunity to do the practical activities that he most enjoys.
